Tragedy/Comedy

“Life is a tragedy to those who feel but a comedy to those who think” – Horace Walpole

But what about those us who do both?

Life is tragic and painful, it just is. It’s how we know we’re alive. To live, and not simply exist, is to face life and it’s pains. Each of our reactions, embracing, fighting, fearing, challenging, avoiding, forgetting, remembering, focusing, dismissing, of pain shape who we were, are, and will become.
So, as I see it, there are two options: laughing and crying. I feel both are intrinsically necessary to experience.
I’d like to think that i get to laugh at least as much as I cry, and hope that it’s actually more.
Besides, this is heaven. Hell is where you get everything you want.
